I love pop-ups, but the sad part is that they go away. I’m always especially bereft when the lovely Salt & Earth are nowhere to be found. It’s good news all round, because they’re finally moving into a permanent space!
Chef Niki Astley is permanently moving into the kitchen of 1000 Trades, which has historically played host to a rotating calendar of pop-ups. He’ll be joined by occasional pop-ups, and collaborations with the best of Birmingham food.
The new menu dropped today, and you can order it from August 7th. There’s an array of snacks and small plates, and it all sounds droolworthy. Beef brisket, bone marrow rice, fried chicken, olives, cheese…I’ll see you all there!
