Cosplay and Upcoming Appearances

I’m a Birmingham based cosplayers, and can regularly be found on the British convention circuit. As a cosplayer, I’ve been featured in local and national press and appeared at promotional and charity events, including pre-launch events for Batman: Arkham Knight with Game and shooting a charity calendar for Baby Lifeline.

As well as cosplaying under Caramel Latte Kiss, I am one half of Safe Harbour Cosplay, alongside my partner in crime, David Whitney. We work together at conventions and events across the country. Our main costume is X-Men’s Rogue and Gambit, but we have lots more team-ups in the works. Watch this space!

  • Project Wonder Woman

    The traditional time for life overhauls is January. We set resolutions to do things to improve ourselves, then attack ourselves if we don't do it. I don't think a life overhaul is the way to go. Gradual changes are easier to maintain.
    Self-care is something I've been thinking about a lot the last couple of days. I have always been one of life's worriers. I overthink a lot of things, and often stop myself doing things because I've stressed about them instead of just doing it.
    Since the beginning of the year, I've been easing in small changes that make me feel good, or calmer, or happier. I've set myself reading goals so I am spending more time with my nose in a book (or my Kindle) which is definitely good for my mental health. I've made sleep a priority. I might be a night owl, but when I have to be on a commuter train at 8am, getting into bed at a sensible time instead of staring at the internet until 2am is going to be infinitely better for me and improve how I feel.
    I'm working on the way I think about food. It's easy to get caught up in the silliness of 'good' and 'bad' foods, and that isn't something I want. I want to fuel my body with nutritious, delicious things while still enjoying baking batches of cookies without feeling like I have to do something to counteract them later.
    Exercise is my next mission. I want to feel stronger, fitter and healthier. I want to feel better in my clothes and more confident. I want to strengthen my core to reduce the chances of damaging my already damaged back any further. I want to counteract the fact I spend my working day sat at a desk over a laptop, which is bad for my shoulders, my neck, my back, and my general health.
    This is a slow journey, learning to take care of my self and be kinder to myself instead of a stress bundle. I want to be the best me I can be. I want to be Wonder Woman. Join me on this project?
