Bath In Fashion High Street Catwalk

I managed to snag myself a seat on the front row for one of the High Street Catwalk shows that were part of Bath in Fashion. The catwalk showed Spring/Summer collections from local shops, including chains like Coast and French Connection, independent retailers like Instant Vintage and pop-up shop Candy Kittens.

The styling was really great, on the whole. The show was split in four segments; New York Mornings, London – Afternoon Tea, Milan – Dolce Vita and Paris – Cocktails.

This first look, the striped blazer and trousers, is by H! by Henry Holland, and was sent down the catwalk by Debenhams. A full-on stripe look is too much for the street, I think, but these would be great separates, and I loved the styling with the red shoe and the pattern clash spotted scarf.

Bath In Fashion - blue brogues

These brogues don’t seem to appear in my show notes, so I’ve got no idea where they’re actually from, but I love them. I’m a sucker for a brogue, and these are a great Spring alternative in the blue shades. Want!

Bath In Fashion - pink look

This look, I think, is from Sebago, and I was quite taken with how classic it is. Simple but stylish.

I love a full-skirt! The purple floral dress was one of my favourite pieces. The whole look is from Coast. The outfit with the yellow bag and the cloche hat was put together by Jollys Bath. It’s all Dickens and Jones, apart from the bag, which is DKNY. The floral dress is Phase Eight.

Bath in Fashion - prom dress

I need an excuse to wear a prom dress. This beauty is Diamond by Julien MacDonald, sent down the runway by Debenhams.

As part of the Cocktail segment, a selection of little black dresses went down the runway, all shown with huge white head-pieces. Slightly odd decision on the part of the stylist, as all the models ended up having to prop them up as they were so huge.

Bath in Fashion - headdress

And then, one collapsed entirely…

Bath in Fashion - headdress fail

Not the best moment!

The catwalk show was great; I had brilliant fun, and was chuffed to be on the FROW! I especially liked the looks in the London segment, with the classic, preppy styling. I’d be happy dressed like that all Spring!

I was invited to this show as one of the Bath In Fashion Blogger Award finalists.
