Last week, I was invited along to ‘an evening of shopping and Prosecco’ at Toast, here in Bath. I hadn’t actually ever noticed Toast before (probably due to it’s proximity to one of my favourite bars…) but a quick nose round their website had soon reeled me in.
The store did not disappoint. Toast’s Spring/Summer collection is very classic; Breton stripes, florals, leather sandals…perfect casual Spring dressing. The collection is mostly in very soft, muted colours, with a few pops of red and yellow, mostly in the accessories.
As promised, the Prosecco was flowing, and they’d laid on a small selection of nibbles.I guarded the Macaroons most of the night, as they were delicious! The store was actually relatively quiet, allowing me to have a good dig round the collection, and chat to the immensely friendly and helpful staff. The staff were the stand-out actually, particularly the girl who greeted me, who knew exactly who I was and chatted away about the Bath In Fashion Award and how excited she was that Susie Bubble was in town.
I was especially taken with the homeware, especially these suitcases. If I had the room, my flat would be full of suitcases like this. I also had my eye caught by these shoes.
I was really impressed by Toast. It’s way out of my price range, usually, but the store and the stock were beautiful, so I’ll be adding them to my list of window shopping destinations, and keeping them in mind for when I do have extra cash floating around.
They were very generous, presenting all us Bath In Fashion Blogger Award finalists with a little bouquet and giving us £100 to spend in store.
I dithered for ages over what to choose to spend my money on, doing complex shopping basket maths to get what I wanted. I eventually chose a classic Breton stripe tee, and as I was so taken with the home-ware, a set of enamel dipped cutlery. The tee is so soft, and feels lovely quality. I haven’t worn it yet, but I’ll feed back when I do. The cutlery is so pretty, and is currently brightening up my kitchen.
Thanks, Toast, for inviting me. I had a lovely evening and really enjoyed nosing at the Spring/Summer stock. If you’re in Bath, definitely give Toast a visit, if only for some very pretty inspiration.
