London Fashion Week: What I Wore

Dressing for Fashion Week is bloody impossible. Suitably ‘fashion’, without looking too try-hard, while also being able to walk on the cobbles at Somerset House, and survive cold winds and sudden downpours. Not an easy task…

  • Hat from H&M
  • Coat from H&M
  • Striped, over-sized top from H&M
  • Leather look leggings from Primark
  • Boots from New Look
  • Bag and scarf (just seen) from Peacocks
All seasons old, apart from the leggings, so no links to the items, I’m afraid. I didn’t manage the staying warm part, despite the coat. Christ, it was cold. I was alright in the rain though, with the combination of hat and a cunningly concealed umbrella. I couldn’t quite bring myself to do Somerset House in flats, but these boots are suitably chunky so I was steady on the cobbles and comfortable enough to be on my feet all day. The leggings are surprisingly comfy; being Primark, I am a bit nervous about how sturdy they are, but they survived a lot of crouching for shooting cool outfits on other people, so that’s a win, I think.

You can see my make-up a little clearer here. I went for a subtle smokey eye (with the new Smokey eye palette from Collection, which I’m rather enjoying), but my star product here is the lipstick. It’s Max Factor, from their Colour Elixir range, in the shade Bewitching Coral. I’ve been using their Ruby Tuesday for ages, and love it, but for some reason never bought another lippy from the range. On a whim, I grabbed this, and I’m so glad I did. The colour pay-off is beautiful, and the wear time is amazing. I wore this all day, ate lunch, drank coffee, hot chocolate and a bottle of Mountain Dew, and I only needed to touch up once. Well done, Max Factor.
